"Mary Shelly"
Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (Elle Fanning) is a thoughtful young woman with a passion for writing and who is drawn to ghost stories. When she meets radical and charismatic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (Douglas Booth), she is convinced she has met her soulmate. This striking period film tracks their life together, accompanied by her flirtatious stepsister Claire (Bel Powley), who is herself drawn to the louche Lord Byron (Tom Sturridge). The second feature from Saudi Arabian director Haifaa Al-Mansour (who made the acclaimed Wadjda in 2012).
